Boat Taxi Must Process Sailing License on June 1

Every boat taxi that serves people crossing Seribu Islands are obligated to immediately complete the sailing license. From 40 boats, 15 of them have met the requirement.

No more tolerance, we will evict those who have yet to process the license

"We give deadline until June 1, 2016 where 25 boat taxi owners must process the sailing license. If not, we will seize their boats," said Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept, Andri Yansyah, Monday (5/16).

According to Andri, his party has given time almost one year, precisely on July 3, 2015. This is consideration because of the many costs to meet the standards of the completeness and safety of boat passengers.

"No more tolerance, we will evict those who have yet to process the license," he stressed.

Formerly, the boat owner was agree to meet the requirements last year in terms of safety and document. Due to expensive cost of it, the owner requested for spare time, but until now it has not been fulfilled.
